Happy Friday Everyone!! Here are some scribbles from my week that has been, hopefully with a long weekend in store next week will see some more!
In less than 90 days from now I will be crossing the finish line of the ING New York Marathon. Although it will be a challenge for me to complete this race, I will be especially motivated by the excitement of knowing that it will benefit such a worthy cause, the Heart Foundation.I need your help to hit my fundraising goal, please use this link to donate generously:http://www.gofundraise.com.au/page/jbdeanAny support and promotion amongst your business and personal contacts would be appreciated.Well, despite many doubts and uncertainties, I can officially say I finished my first half marathon! My form was neither fast nor pretty but I did make it across the finish line in one piece. I have to say, it was really tough to run the last 3 kilometers. That voice in my head tried to convince me to walk for a bit, but I managed to just keep trucking through to the finish. It’s a great feeling to have accomplished this goal!Poor signage, concentration or my interpretation of the English language actually resulted in me running an extra 2 kilometers, but that’s another story.I have decided to try and change my life for the better, raising the stakes and setting what is a daunting and frightful challenge, and in the process raise $10,000 for a worthy cause. The marathon runs through the streets of New York’s five boroughs: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan. The course challenges thousands of athletes every year and is a model for big-city marathon courses around the world.I am asking you to consider sponsoring me for this event. I have two ambitious goals, first to complete the run without sustaining any bodily harm and second to meet my personal goal of raising $10,000 for the Heart Foundation. I would greatly appreciate your kind consideration by making a donation toward this goal. All donations are, of course, tax deductible and are for the Heart Foundation, I will be funding my own travel and accommodation expenses.
- It’s easy, just logon to my ING New York City Marathon fundraising pagehttp://www.gofundraise.com.au/page/jbdean and follow the prompts.
- Every donation of $2 or more is tax deductible. Thanks in anticipation for your support and I look forward to keeping you updated on my progress.Jason
Wow this week has gone by so quickly! This Friday sees the beginning of our 3rd trimester (the count down is on for bubba’s arrival now) & me painting again. Two very exciting milestones to end the week on. It did help that this painting is a birthday present for one of my best friends to inspire the creativity & (much needed) energy in me but now I’m back with brush in hand ready to create more art. Happy weekend everyone! Till next week
